great script! I like how you just read the message and did not take away from the script with extra music and images.

Nice video! I like the way you guys give an example of how some people want to emulate the lives of “reality” stars and how you present counterarguments to that lifestyle. Good job!

I really liked your topic and what you were trying to point out in your video.

There are people like this and that is scary! Reality shows are not really “reality” and I liked how silly you made it because it is silly.

Loved the video and completely agree with your views. Reality tv shows depict women as fashionistas with no brains, flaunting their money, cars and houses. How will this affect our younger generation? Great job!

  8. March 10, 2011 at 9:48 pm

I really like how you portrayed each of yourselves as one of the “bratty” teens on reality TV and then portrayed how fake they were, then moved into images of these “reality” shows.

  9. March 10, 2011 at 9:48 pm

it was funny how you put it in context. It also made the girls supporting them. it had a lot of good point in support of the shows but the counter acted this very well! Great how you added in shows that do this. the images were very supportive and sometimes shocking. great addition.

I like the conversation throughout the video and the message portrayed throughout the video. Good examples put in the video. The last part of the video where all the words were went by too fast and I was unable to read all of it without pausing the video. Overall, great job!

Do you think these type of women are creating a positive image for other women to follow (i.e. successful, young beautiful women who make it on their own) or do you think their image is unrealistic and make women believe that the most they can aim for is a shallow life in the limelight?

  12. March 10, 2011 at 9:50 pm

Good topic. You had great examples to get your point across.

I liked how when they are talking about reality tv and shows portraying the rich and lavish lifestyle of these people, that they then act like they are wealthy and spoiled too. It was a good representation of how people absorb what is shown in the media.

“reality shows” really put Americans youth in such a negative light when so many of us are so much more motivated and intend to do positive things in the world.

I like how used several different ways to get your point across, such as talking to the camera and having an argument with each other about reality shows. Then you also used still images, and ended with a page of writing that really summed up your point!

I like the point you are trying to make. The people who are in those reality shows, are unrealistic and most people who we encounter on a daily basis, are not like that.

Excellent script, this is a problem that plagues our generation, so I like that you could make the point by acting like someone on Super Sweet 16. Great Job!

I like how you spoke directly to the camera. I feel like this really places the emphasis on the message of the script. In doing that you reinforced the idea of having people portrayed as normal on camera. Also, the images and the music provided great support to the script. The ending was great, and completely summed up the whole project.

Although we talked about how violence in the media can affect us, you talked about how wealth and glamour can affect us, which has some similarities. They can both brainwash us into thinking that something is ok, when in the end we need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Great job on the video! It was really funny, and so true. I totally agree about reality TV creating misconceptions.

The songs are very appropriate for the message being portrayed, good job!

Good Job! I liked the way that you combined your own skit with still images to get your point across. Very interesting.

Great job! I liked how you guys did a skit. It’s true that these shows have this kind of impact – especially on younger teenagers

really good topic choice and the message was clear and precise. nice!
