Women in the media are constantly portrayed negatively, I definitely think that more people should be aware of the situation. Great video!

Nice message, the media today is portraying women in a very negative light for the rest of the viewers. This is a good way to get your message out there!

  4. March 10, 2011 at 9:58 pm

Women are portrayed in so many unrealistic ways young girls have no choice but to hold themselves to nearly impossible standards… great topic.

The message you delivered was very good. Women are portrayed is a very unrealistic way. As a society we should be more aware of how unrealistic some media is.

I especially liked the use of music and examples of impactful images.

  8. March 10, 2011 at 10:05 pm

The media constantly “shapes” women and how they’re “supposed” to be, I like how you exploit this and the voice over was well done.

  9. March 10, 2011 at 10:05 pm

I like your message and video I thought it ended fast but it was an overall great video! Good job.

I like the dramatic music! It definitely adds to your video. The images and voiceover were effective in making your main point about how advertising affects women.

Good message. The images and music were very powerful and added to your message this is something I also utilized in my video.

  12. March 10, 2011 at 10:08 pm

Awesome job! I really enjoyed how you used images with narration in order to portray your point of how

  13. March 10, 2011 at 10:08 pm

Interesting topic. Good use of examples and statistics. Your video is similar to ours in how media affects people in a negative way. Both of our messages were on media influences. Great video.

  14. March 10, 2011 at 10:08 pm

I thought we had a similar message of the representation of women in the media and the body image that is shown. In many of your pictures, almost all of them, were women that were a no bigger than a size 2, tall and model-like. I think they should also advertise women of all body styles.

  15. March 10, 2011 at 10:10 pm

Great job, this is an important topic that needs to be brought up so that we can be more aware of how women are portrayed in the media.

  16. March 10, 2011 at 10:10 pm

sorry got cut off! but I liked how you used images with narration in order to portray your point of how badly women can be portrayed in the media. I also used shocking images, and startling statistics in my video in hopes of grabbing my audience’s attention and play off of their emotions to make them reconsider the type of media they are consuming. I thought your video was very effective! Overall great job girls!

I loved how you used image and narration to portray your strong point. I did the same in my video but with images and text to portray how ski culture has changed for our generation.

The message in your video was very similar to the message in our video. It seems as if the media is putting out all these advertisements of “fake” women, just as we are advocating against the false nature of the celebrities in the media.

  19. March 10, 2011 at 10:15 pm

The music added a lot to the images. We talked about similar topic in our vlogs. only this vlog mostly talked about how media shapes women. I think that this is a very important topic. I also used the similar technique of the slide show and voice over behind, i thought that it was very effective.

Both of our vlogs address how media shapes our generation, more specifically the female population. We used similar techniques by using a slideshow and incorporating our points to support our argument.

  21. March 10, 2011 at 10:25 pm

We talked about violence in the media, but we had similar points. You talked about how the media can make young girls feel like they need to live up to this party image. We talked about how the media can make people feel like they need to live up to a violent image. Both are obviously false, and you did a great job pointing this out.

  22. March 10, 2011 at 11:28 pm

this is a largely underrepresented issue. great work!

Good job! I find it interesting that women usually focus on women in media. I wonder what womens views are on how men are portrayed in media.
