I like how you portrayed the idea that facebook is really addicting. The facts used in the video are good and helpful in understanding how big facebook really is.

  2. March 10, 2011 at 9:51 pm

The intro was hilarious, we are all addicted to facebook to some extent in college, and you added great facts to support your ideas.

I really like your video, the music you use adds humor to this serious issue that our generation is facing. Really good job!!

great “anti drug” like campaign I would like you to go a bit more in depth with how this relates to our actual culture and if it isn’t bad. great idea! very thought provoking.

I really like that you used strong words, like “meth” and “Drugs” to help convey the message. OUr vlog was on Facebook too. We agreed that Facebook is detrimental to our ability to communicate face-to-face/

Awesome video. Great editing and soundtrack. Your point on facebook addiction was also very interesting.

  10. March 10, 2011 at 9:52 pm

I like the video and the songs put behind the video to make it funny. It is making a good point how our society is obsessed with Facebook.

Facebook is truly addicting and making it so that individuals are afraid to have face to face conversations, only feeling comfortable talking to people online or via phones. What has our society come to? Great video!

I like your use of different music in the video to make different points. Man I have not heard Underoath in forever… The beginning of your video was funny! Your video was kind of the opposite of ours, saying that we should get of Facebook whereas we were saying that Facebook is a good place for people to connect and share ideas. I like your point too though because Facebook can definitely be addictive as well, if you don’t use it responsibly. I like that you use facts to make your point stronger. We took a different stance, showing pictures of Facebook pages to show what people are doing on Facebook.

This is funny. Facebook is meth; many people don’t realize how much they really do feel they need Facebook. We take the tool for granted everyday, but it’s most likely that if any of us were without it for more than a day, we would definately notice and want to use it. Sometimes society doesn’t realize how infectious and addicting some things can get when they become so widespread and common.

So true! Great message and video!

Really great video guys! I thought your video was very funny, entertaining yet very informative! Over all great job!

Great topic and video. This is a problem that plagues our society today, so it was nice to see a vlog saying “Get off Facebook!”

You make an interesting point because Facebook is very addictive. Especially when you are trying to do homework, Facebook suddenly becomes a time filler. But I think that when Facebook is used properly then, it can be very effective.

  18. March 10, 2011 at 10:12 pm

I don’t think our videos are similar, however, I really like your topic and the facts you presented in your video. I think it is becoming a problem in how we are all addicted to Facebook. Is it really better for our generation? I wonder if we were to take a poll of all the students at DU, how many would have a facebook and how often they would check it.

  19. March 10, 2011 at 10:28 pm

We talked about violence in the media, and how it can consume us completely if we are not careful, and make us a more violent society. You talked about how facebook can completely consume us if we are not careful. These are some great points, and points that we should definitely think about every once in a while.

    Facebook=Meth. Well said

I liked your message that we need to break away from the social movement of facebook or at least cut back so it’s not such a major part of people lives. I believe that this ties into are video as well suggesting that the way the media portrays the NBA trades is like crack for sports fans for instance we tune in everyday to see what’s been going on even though nothing major has occurred yet we want the latest news no matter how big or small we just want to know.

  22. March 11, 2011 at 12:47 am

great job on the video! I thought it was really funny, with you imitating a meth addict. Nice work!

We both used comedy to portray “What We Believe” in our Vlogs. The acting was also a similarity between our videos. Good job.

Reminds me of my project. I love the way you twisted your ideas with text and video footage

    nice work, good insight

I liked this topic. It is something that is such an issue today. We sit inside on facebook instead of going outside and having face to face contact with our friends. I think that when ‘facebook chat’ was added to facebook, it became even more time consuming. it can be a good thing and a bad thing and I am really impressed with the people i know who hardly ever go on facebook or who don’t even have facebook at all.

Very good point. I think that especially in college people are always always checking Facebook!

  29. March 11, 2011 at 10:19 pm

Good job! Your video was very interesting. My video talked more about how social media was something we could use as a tool, but I liked your points about how it has become a major part of our lives. Do you think that it would be better for us to cut back though? Isnt it becoming a fundamental part of how we communicate as a people. With every technological advance we evolve as a society. Think about the invention of the telephone: its just not practical to not use a device that lets us communicate from a distance. Is it even possible to get people to stop altogether or just cut back from Facebook?
